The Julie/Julia Project

I woke up late today (9 am). I had a clogged nose. I laid around and watched the DVRed episodes of Intervention (A&E) that I missed last night. I highly recommend this show - it is a tear-jerker and very fascinating.

Giselle invited me to go see The Julie/Julia Project with her for free and of course I said yes! We took the train to Bronxville and walked around their cute town. We went into Papyrus - my favorite card store - and took a look around. The manager was there and she was super friendly. I think that next summer I will work there part time. It should be super fun and very relaxing. All I will have to do is check people out and learn some printing things - I LOVE PAPER and PRETTY THINGS - this store has both!! The movie was super fabulous and a definite must see. Meryl Streep is a genius. The movie is both witty and funny. I now have this urge to cook beef. There was a song that played in the movie "I love you a bushel and a peck" - my mom used to play/sing this song to me and my brother ... it hit an emotional note with me in the movie and made me smile! I love that song. I will play it at my wedding someday. We went to a wine tasting after the movie and I enjoyed the red wine very much, which, is surprising since I am really a white wine person.

Our patio table arrived today and Steve put it together - it looks so nice outside!!! There is a meteor shower supposedly happening tonight and tomorrow night in the wee hours (midnight - 5 am) ... I am hoping to catch it ... check it out: http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20090811/sc_space/strongmeteorshowerexpectedtonight;_ylt=AsVODCqiO9rTw79jRpTESE2CfNdF

That is all for now ...
