SLM & CDB: Crazy Weekend

Friday was our Apartment Warming party and it was a huge success if I do say so myself. I spent all of Thursday and Friday cleaning and preparing. I made a veggie tray with dip, a cheeseball with crackers/pepperoni/salami, a dip for tortilla chips, brownies, chocolate chip cookies and little weenies. I also put out nuts and dark chocolate and coco covered almonds (thanks Dad for the suggestion, I went out the next day and got them for the party - I WALKED to Trader Joe's to get them!). Steve came home early from work and vacuumed and helped set up our photo board - anyone that comes to our apartment must have their picture taken and then we immediately print it out like a Polaroid and you sign it and it goes on our wall framed! We had tons of wine and beer and mixed drinks and I am pretty sure everyone had a good time. It was very exciting to share our new home with our family/friends.

Saturday we cleaned up and it was super quick. Erica was here and her and I collected trash and brought dishes over to Steve - he did ALL of the dishes "to earn points" with me, he said. I think he was just trying to be sweet. Either way, it was awesome! I had coffee with Erica and then Steve and I lounged and watched "I Love You, Man" - highly recommend - hilarious movie - gives insight to guy/guy relationships. We then spent tons of time in traffic and finally made it to Ian's for his last party in Long Beach. I had a blast with my cousins and friends and family!

Today, I slept in and Steve went to Home Depot to get a new fuse - we blew ours Friday night at the party and have been down an AC since then - thank goodness we have 2! We then walked to the bagel shop downtown and enjoyed bacon/egg/cheese bagels!! I met up with my teacher pals and we planned the week we are teaching this week for our Summer Bridge program - I am stoked about it! Tonight it looks like we are just going to relax!!
