Spring Break Thoughts

I am on Spring Break from teaching this week. It started off with Passover dinner at Aunt Gail's and Uncle Jeff's house. Then I spent the day in LI on Friday with Aunt Gail and got to spend some time with Hallie (Ian's GF) - she is wonderful! We had a blast at lunch and we brought Ian and his co-workers coffee and got a tour of Frito-Lay, which was really cool. If I worked in a factory I would want to be the person who does the specific packaging - sorry Ian - I forgot what that was called. This past weekend, Steve and I stayed in all weekend, which was actually really, really nice. I cleaned my room and went through my things and got rid of some clothes that either a) don't fit b) I don't like or c) are not appropriate for a teacher to be wearing anymore. On Monday I had a dentist appointment which went very well. Kathy (Aunt Gail's close friend and co-worker) printed out my "pockets report" and we mailed it via snail mail to my mom - she is a bit obsessive about teeth haha. I hope she puts it on the refrigerator like a report card (hint hint Mom). I spent the day with Aunt Gail and got some pants and a shirt hemmed/taken in. Today, I am supposed to be doing work for my school, for Grad School and for grades and for data collection. UG. I SO do NOT want to do any of it. I did a little work just now. I am thinking of taking a break. I set aside today and tomorrow to do work and then that was my cut off. What I HAVE to get done is not too bad really, it's just the idea of doing work over the break. This is Spring Break (a supposed and very true real break for teachers). Tomorrow, I am having coffee/lunch with Christina and I am very excited to see her since it has been way too long. Tonight, Steve and I are doing laundry at a laundromat - no more laundry at Aunt Gail's Laundromat!!! haha, I know she is going to be so sad!!! LOL. On Thursday, I will head to the TFA to do some printing and photocopying. I have a meeting at Lehman College on Thursday for my school to start planning the Summer Bridge course for our incoming 9th graders. On Friday, I will go to LI to spend time with Aunt Gail and to see Erica and Hallie. Steve is going to the Mets vs. Brewers game on Friday night with Kenny and staying in Queens - so I will stay in LI. On Saturday he is taking Kenny, Bryan and Adam to the Mets vs. Brewers game as a "thank you" for letting me stay with you gift. On Saturday night, I am going to the Nutty Irishman with Hallie/Ian and their friends and coincidentally for Erica's BF, Giuseppe's Birthday. So that will be great. Steve may or may not join me, depends on how tired he is from the whole day of drinking at the baseball game. On Sunday, we are going to the Mets vs. Brewers game, which I am stoked about. It will be interesting to see how he is at a game. All I know is the screaming and cheering and low blows he makes at the tv when we watch at home. HAHA.

Wow, this was a long blog - I highly doubt anyone wants to hear my week plan but it was good to write it down - now, I just have to get to it ... haha ... I will in a little bit. I need a snack.

P.S. Aunt Gail - Steve's high score is I think over 300,000 ... we both suck.
